I’m so excited you are here and that I can hopefully help you get fitter and healthier… together.

My name is Sharron Davies and for those of you who don’t know me – I’m an ex-international swimmer, come, Gladiator, come TV presenter, and most importantly, mum and now – good grief – grandma. I’ve been at 12 Olympic Games so far, either in the water racing for medals or beside it – presenting for the BBC. My whole life has been about training to compete or just working out to keep in shape, and the best benefit to that has been to my health, both physically and mentally.

Exercise is so underrated for how it can help our confidence and just how good we feel about ourselves after we’ve done it.

I’d be lost without it. It’s got me through some of the toughest times in my life and keeps me in my jeans!

I did my first Olympics at just 13 and this year I turn 60. Throughout all that time, I have exercised. I’ve learned what gets results, juggled a fast-moving life with work and family, and realised that balance in all things is best. I’m so passionate about wanting to help others to get fitter and healthier that I’ve created my own training program based around just one hour a week of exercise.

Now of course we can do more and the perfect way to stay fit is a mixture of cardiovascular exercise, stretching & weights but time is always against us, so I’ve developed my program based on the very least we can get away with and see results.

It’s a program for absolutely everyone from those that haven’t been off the sofa in years to those that already swim, cycle or run.

I’ve tailored my exercise routines to everyone’s own levels because we are all different, and of course, we all have to start somewhere, then build towards a better, fitter us. The whole point of my program is it’s simple and easy to follow. It takes about 3 months to make or break a habit. Signing up for three months then rolling each month is where we start, training with me for 15 minutes 4 times a week, either on your phone, iPad, or any other smart device, anywhere, any time, without any equipment or added costs, together.

So what are you signing up to?

Well, basically a HIIT (High-intensity interval training) workout, which has been proved to get the most out of us in the least amount of time. That suits those that don’t have a lot of time and those that don’t really like exercise, which is fine. We know we need to keep our bodies moving, increasing our heart rates, maintaining our metabolism, which slows down as we age or as we have a more sedentary lifestyle.

I wanted to make my program quick, cheap, easily accessible, and simple to follow. It can be done anywhere, anytime, as long as you do it 4 times a week…. exactly when it suits your lifestyle and commitments because we all have busy lives.

We want fitter hearts and less fat (in a nutshell) and if only we could wave that magic wand! I can’t promise a wand but I can promise that if you train consistently with me for three months you WILL see real results. I’d be lying if I said you don’t have to try and that you won’t sweat or get a little out of breath, that’s the point, creating that “good” habit is half the battle. My program does it in the least amount of time with clear videos and explanations, showing the muscles you work with countdown clocks, and simple, easy-to-follow instructions.

Added challenges

These are little routines I have created you can add to your weekly 4×15 min workouts. Again they can be done anywhere, anytime, without any equipment. Some are aimed at troublesome areas, like bums and tums or chicken wings. They can even be done whilst waiting for the kettle to boil. The secret is little and often. It’s amazing when you can just add in some calf raises whilst brushing your teeth or a few chest presses up against the kitchen worktop. Most of the effort is in creating the habit.

When I first stopped swimming I got fat…

As a kid, I was always tall for my age and never still. My swimming career started early. I was a junior international at 11. I don’t remember doing much else as a youngster and I suppose this is where I laid down my exercise habits, but for those of you that say… “well you’ve never had a weight issue,” I say so not true. As you can imagine I could eat for England when training 6 hours a day in the pool and the gym but when I first retired I rebelled against such a tight routine and did very little training. I stopped getting up at 5 am but carried on with a very healthy athletic appetite. Within 10 months I had put on 30Ibs and then spent the next 2 years yo-yo dieting and being thoroughly miserable about my weight, before getting back to regular exercise and sensible eating. So yes I’ve been there, bought the t-shirt. I decided never again to let that happen and it never has…
